Energy Saving GLS Night Sensor Light Bulb, E27 / ES Warm Colour, 15W - Quality construction for extended reliability and increased lamp life. Compact design which uses up to 80% less energy compared to standard light bulbs. The financial savings that can be made over the 8000 hour life of these bulbs is huge. The bulbs last 8 times as long and consume less than a quarter of the power as a normal filament bulb.
This clever energy saving light bulb incorporates an electric light sensor that automatically switches the bulb on when it gets dark (dusk) and switches it off in the morning at first light (dawn).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
WALL LIGHTS - The light sensor must face outwards towards the light source.
When fitting or turning bulbs always hold by the plastic base, (if possible).
For screw type bulbs (ES, SES) simply tighten fully and then unscrew a little until the sensor faces the light.
Please Note: There is a built in delay before darkness turns the bulb on. This is to prevent the bulb from turning off and on constantly .To test the bulbs in daylight it is necessary to totally cover the light with a dark cloth. Simply covering the sensor will not turn the bulb on.
SENSOR BULBS- IMPORTANT NOTES:
Sensor bulbs use a photocell located in the base of the bulb body. The photocell is factory pre-set to switch the bulb on at low light levels (dusk) and then off at higher light levels (dawn).
The photocell is located very near to the light source of the bulb, and can result in reflected light from the bulb “fooling” the photocell to turn off. As there is an in built delay this can mean that the bulb will turn on / off at around 40 second intervals. This will rapidly destroy the bulb electronics and the bulb will not last much longer than 10 days if this is the case.
The amount of reflected light depends upon the individual light fitting being used and it is not possible to pre-determine. If the bulb is situated close to the glass it is more likely that the reflection will render the sensor bulb unworkable.
Lumena sensor bulbs have been adjusted to minimise the reflected light problem and will work in the majority of outside light fittings but we cannot guarantee they will work in all situations.
